"Floydwho" wrote > It had a non explained problem & DID CLOSE well - what are you complaining about? <g> Seriously though, we need to know a lot more than that!version of WindowsAV in use would be helpful - you do have Anti-Virus running?Go to Event Viewer, and copy/past the log of the error in your response. What were you doing when it last crashed? - is it always the same thing? What changed on your system around the same time as the problem started? Stay away from McAfee too. They and Norton are the two poorestproducts. Microsoft Security Essentials is a good product, but AVG, although itused to be one of the better ones, no longer is. And you shouldcertainly not run *both* since they are both anti-virus programs. Donot run more than one anti-virus, since they can conflict with eachother. Here are my recommendations: For an anti-virus, run eSET NOD32, if you are willing to pay for it.If you want a freeware product, choose one of the following three: AviraAvast Microsoft Security Essentials Also run *both* of the following anti-spyware products: MalwareBytes AntiMalwareSuperAntiSpyware -- Ken BlakePlease Reply to the Newsgroup Ken Blake

(I used to sell AVG because I believed in it - I no longer sell it) For paid-for? - Kaspersky? perhaps... NOD32? maybe.... paid-for versions of the freebies? - don't be daft!<g>I *really* don't know what I'd pick for paid-for, But I do know that Norton,McAfee, and AVG wouldn't be among them. -- Noel Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC

Run drwtsn32.exe and check the Crash Dump location. Check that file - does it have a timestamp that corresponds to the crash? If so, then ZIP up the user.dmp file and upload it to your SkyDrive, and provide a link.
